Mercerwood Shore Club

Thank you for your interest in membership at the Mercerwood Shore Club. We are a family-oriented swim, tennis and beach club on the northeastern shore of Mercer Island. Our club includes:

• A 25-meter outdoor pool: The pool includes 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, and is enclosed in a "bubble" during the winter months to allow for year-round use. Programs include swimming lessons, summer swim, dive team and water polo teams, winter swim team and morning Masters workouts. The summer swim team is the current 4-time Midlakes champion.
• Fitness equipment and classes: The year-round facility includes newly-acquired state-of-the-art cardio and weight-lifting equipment. Fitness classes such as yoga, cardio, aerobics and weight training are offered at various times throughout the week.
• Beach and waterfront: Mercerwood features a 500 foot Lake Washington beach front; facilities there include:
  • Boating: 37 boat slips are available, as well as a boat launch and lakeside storage for small craft.
  • Beach: The beach is sandy and shallow for youngsters; older children enjoy swimming out to a wooden raft/platform.
  • Picnic: The grassy lakefront area has a dozen picnic tables for get-togethers with family and friends, and a large pit for campfires and s'mores. Several charcoal barbecue pits are available for use.
  • Recreation: a new play structure with slides, climbing areas and more was added for the enjoyment of younger children. A concrete basketball court lures players of all ages, and you can set up a volleyball net for games on the lakeside lawn.
• 4 year-round outdoor tennis courts: Summer programs include lessons for all ages, youth teams, ladies' day, mixed doubles nights, and more.

The Membership joining fee at this time is $4800.00 for an equity membership. The dues are $140.00 per month year round. You can make payment arrangements for the equity joining fee; there are four options to choose from. Aquatics and tennis programs are billed separately, as all programs and/or special events are billed on your monthly statement; payment is due by the 15th of every month.

Rotational moorage is available on a lottery or draw basis. Applications are due in the office by December 15th and the draw is done approximately the fourth week in December. The season runs from April 1st through October 15th, at a cost of $1200.00 for the season.

You have the option of resigning your equity membership at anytime. When you resign, the club will sell your membership. Once your membership is sold you will receive an equity return equal to ²⁄₃ of the initiation fee minus a $300.00 transfer fee, as long as your account is current and no money is owed to the club.
